2010 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Our feature project for 2010 was the rehabilitation of the Weaving Room sponsored by Mutschelknaus Oil & Gas. Additionally we were blessed to received assistant from Enterprise Foundation to assist on the Apothecary and the West Union Bank on the Tin Smith Shop. The brings the total number we have rehabilitated to eight.

Our second significant grant for 2009 was a Community Partnership Grant from the State of West Virginia which has been used to rehabilitate and expand the Blacksmith Shop. This project, also funded in part by Dominion Resources and AmeriCorps included contract labor and volunteer efforts by Energy Express, Miracle Meadows as well as our general volunteer base.

 Renovate dedicate & reopen the Blacksmith Shop

 

 Expand entrance road

 

 Level & expand parking lot

    

 Apply rock base to parking lot and entrance road

 

 Install master drainage system

 

 Install French drains on buildings

 

 Expand sidewalks
