Fort New Salem Foundation, Inc. will assist Fort New Salem in preserving and advancing the educational, historical, cultural and social aspects of Nineteenth Century West(ern) Virginia.

2011 PROJECTS A feature project for 2011 is the rehabilitation of McIntyre's Cabin. Work began right before the end of the year and when completed will be our ninth building restored. Visitors in 2011 will see a total new look at our entrance with some initial paving, a new gate along with a new events sign. We are the recipients of Legislative Community Partnership funds which are being utilized on our new electrical service. Also expected during the year is the relocation of a donated structure to our campus.
